Dr. Nestor

Dr. Nestor is a physiatrist who received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.  Dr. Nestor is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Dr. Nestor was the medical director of Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation services in Pennsylvania for 10 years treating patients with Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal cord injury, multiple neurological conditions (such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS) as well as patients with hip and knee replacements and neck and back surgeries and injuries.  

For the past three years Dr. Nestor was part of ThinkSmart!, St. Charles Hospital’s Concussion Management Program. She also saw patients with musculoskeletal conditions and other physiatric conditions.  She is experienced in the management of spasticity with proficiency in botulinum toxin injections.

Dr. Nestor believes that the patient is the nucleus of the rehabilitation team and she strives to assist patient’s achieving their goals and independence. She believes everyone needs to live life with dignity and good quality as it is defined by each individual patient.
